Bob,
This looks like cool accessory that should clean up many a tangled web. We actually had something on paper several years ago, but it didn't have as much flexibility in wiring signals to RCA jacks, etc.
The only thing I'd do differently is paint it black and put a logo on it. Or figure out a way to make it portable :)
