Should not be a problem. Good ol’ RG-58 has 0.083 dB loss in three feet of cable at 50 MHz. That is about 2% of the signal. Another 2% won’t matter.

I am going to be doing the temperature compensation procedure for my KX3. The sheet for the XG50 says I can use a 3' 50-ohm cable. This probably seems like a silly question, but is it a big deal if I use a 6' cable? Is the signal so weak I have to worry about that extra (???) loss?
