[Elecraft] [K3] Noctua fan

It's been a couple of years since I put them in, they come with a 3 pin connector instead of a stock 2 pin connector.

As I recall I clipped the third wire (yellow wire) and then trimmed the connector down to 2 pins (red and black).

If you search the messages archive I believe someone listed the part numbers for the 2 pin connector  if you want t go that route.

Is the  fan mentioned in a previous thread a plug-level replacement
for the stock Elecraft K3 fan?  That is to say, have others purchased some
version of this fan and successfully drop-in replaced the 'old' one,
experiencing an improvement in sound level or otherwise?  My K3 is #6108
... late 2011 vintage.
