[Elecraft] K2 Front Panel R5 problem

Dan,

Since /BANK2 is OK with R5 removed, check the orientation of diode D6. 
Make certain it is oriented correctly.

You will have to order a replacement R5 unless you cut it in a manner 
that will allow you to repair the cut.
