I build all of my cables with quality connectors and quality cables. For audio cables, I use miniature coax that I scored at a ham flea market many years ago and connectors that I buy from Full Compass in Madison, WI. The good brands are Switchcraft and Neutrik. Part numbers are listed in this link, beginning with slide 192.
