[Elecraft] Eclipse logistics and em-comm nets?

Interesting geography lesson from all the comments.  I saw the eclipse 
(I think it was in 1999) in France and it was great.  I took a telescope 
and projected the image onto some card - that was a hit with the 
locals.  The French police stopped all the traffic on the autoroutes, 
fearing someone would try to watch it whilst driving, or be unable to 
adapt to the darkness.  No problems apart from some cloud.
