Follow the instructions exactly as written.
There is not much space inside the KX3, so there is no room for 
"creativity".  Make certain what you are doing matches the diagrams and 
photos.

If you do no understand the instructions (or even think you do not 
understand), ask questions here on the reflector or of K3support.
