That happens when the firmware load is interrupted for some reason or 
another - usually a computer glitch.  I have never heard of it being a 
K3 failure.

Follow the instructions given in the K3 Utility Help file under "Forcing 
a Firmware Download" - Information is also in the K3 manual.
