The K3 (K3S) can also be turned off safely (and store the current 
settings) by using the PS0 command - see the Programmer's Reference.
That command cannot be used to turn it on (there is no power to the K3), 
so the POWER_ON pin in the ACC connector can be pulled low by an 
external device.

If you simply pull power, the current settings will not be saved, and 
could result in having to reload the firmware to get it going again.
