Hi Barry,

Yes, built-in sound cards "work," but my extensive testing showed that a 
good outboard USB sound card works FAR better than the sound built into 
my Thinkpad laptops. The difference is the ability to decode much weaker 
signals. That testing is documented in the link I posted yesterday.
