[Elecraft] KX3 COM Port Not Working

Do you see the COM port listed in the Device Manager listing without any
exclamation mark? If not, then your computer and the FTDI driver needs
to be addressed first. You can download the driver from the Elecraft
website, although in my experience, Windows 7 or Windows 10 will load
the correct driver.
Once you have the COM port that is assigned to the USB adapter, then set
K3Utility (KX3Utility) to use whichever port is assigned. If you change
the USB plug, expect the assigned COM port to change.
Test Communications in the Utility applications should reveal connection
or no connection.
