[Elecraft] K3 Digital Voice Mode - our future?

from some reading I have done recently, D-star is an open source from 
Japan ham community.

I agree, if it's not open, it's not ham radio.

We use FM on 10, 6, and 2 - modes included in the KX3/K3s, maybe the 
future should include d-star.
