Will we need a "Password"  also for common sense?  What did we do before we started injecting a Password into every nook and cranny of our lives?Our lives are already complicated as it is already.

They can make the password protection optional in firmware.  Users that 
want it, can use it, users that don't want it, can leave it disabled.
