I think Grant has hit the major issue of new K3s vs upgrade a
K3. One possibility for the budget minded is to buy a minimum
K3s and pull as many option boards, filters, etc. from the K3 as
possible. Then enjoy a K3/10 for the vacation home or sell it. I
fear that prices for used K3's will be depressed as more come on
the market than there are buyers. The prices will probably come
back up after the major rush to the new radio dies down and
supply/demand evens out.
