[Elecraft] What is the big surprise being announced on Thursday?

Perhaps a red herring, but the Shipping Status page shows:

5/5) We are now short of an important part for the K3. There 
will be approximately a 3 week delay until new parts arrive and 
shipments resume. Orders received during this period will then 
ship based on their order date when we resume shipping.

This delay covers the K3/0, K3/10, and K3/100.

The good news for me is my order for the new synth should ship 
before field day.
