Tom,

Walk through the Cady book and do the exercises, and by the time you get 
to the end, you will know the K3 capabilities and how to operate it very 
well.

If you want a "quick start", take a look at the K3 menu entries in the 
regular K3 manual (they are listed about 2/3 of the way through the 
manual).  That will give you an idea of how you can customize the K3 to 
your particular tastes and operating desires.  Then equipped with that 
customization information, you can dig deeper into the K3 manual or Cady 
book to tell you how to make the menu changes to your advantage.
