[Elecraft] KX-1 - cleaning up the squarewave sidetone?

I have used an outboard audio filter to "clean up" square wave sidetones, like on my K1.
Worked well.
I remember when the modes came out to do this to the K2 sidetone.
However, listen to an old spark audio file. After that, everything sounds good. Spark sounds like what you might expect a 5KW damped arc to sound like in a receiver.
