Yes, you are right. So the software should only be used right before/after
adjustment and then the cable should be removed.
Indeed the K2/100 I just had here had the cable plugged in, but that was
not because of this software. I think it was just because the previous
owner didn't know better. I removed it before shipping it on to the present
owner.
