[Elecraft] P3 question

A rousing second of Jim's "fixed tune" recommendation". I much anticipate its availability in my PX3 as well.

Averaging greatly reduces the noise, and Fixed Tune is needed so that averaging continues to work as you tune the main VFO (the average resets when you tune).
