Years ago (in the DOS days) I considered getting Mac for my mother since it was easier to use.Once windows came along (and it became stable) the choice changed to going to Windows for her.
Personally I like Linux, but since I work on this stuff all day, when I go home at night I just wantto be a user like everyone else (and turn it on and it works) so even I run windows on my desktop.
