I agree, I have SideKX on my rig and I use it for testing, so I turn the rig on and off many times each week.  Once you get used to approaching the buttons from the center of the rig I find it is a non-issue.  I have never really heard of anyone complaining about this in the past.

Just my $0.02 worth.
