[Elecraft] KTCXO3 obsolete?

Thanks Johnny. The reason I ask is that I saw it mentioned elsewhere that the new synth board is based on the Si570 chip. This chip runs on its own internal crystal oscillator, and does not have any input for an external reference clock. The Si571 does have a built-in TCXO, but I'm wondering how the external TCXO on the KTCXO3 works with this new synth board (maybe there is a frequency comparison done in DSP to work out a "frequency correction factor"?).
