Not so sure that I buy the bone conduction theory; I use the same headset with
my ICOM-7600 and its monitor, same head, same bones :-), but no effect. I tried
the suggestion to use the DVR and that worked fine, but I like hearing myself
when transmitting and I can’t do that. It isn’t a very big deal but I am concerned
that there some sort of RF leakage internal to the KX3 that is being picked up by
the monitor. According to the portable book the transmit path including the TX equalizer
are not in the circuit when making a DVR — page 100.
