Hi Jeff,
I am not sure that there is a way to look at the KX3 PA temp when you have the 100W PA engaged. I have turned the external amp off in the config to see the temps of the QRP amp..
It would be nice if the internal amp temp would always be visible as a selection on the "display"
list along with all the readouts (battery, ext. battery ect).
Maybe th e KX3 could be programed so that when the amp is enabled, and
attached, the external amp temp would be added to the list "also".
------
Along with this, I am wondering if when using the lower output range
on the external PA if the internal PA still switches to the "more efficient- when under 3W" with the dot flashing - mode when driving the amp.
I am wondering if this would produce less heat in the KX3 when running the external amp to about 20-25 watts. If it would, that would be
a nice thing to have happen when running PSK, RTTY or maybe the JT modes..
So, maybe someone at elecraft could comment on if this switch over happens, or if it would be worth programming if it doesn't happen?

How can I measure the kx3 pa temp while connected to the KXPA100 ?
Did I miss something in the programming ref?
