Hi Pete

I have been using ROCKY as a panadapter on my KX3 along with the iMic stereo USB sound adaptor. I find they help during a contest and in finding QSOs on a dead band. I recently added the NaP3 software to my station. ROCKY and NaP3 serve two different purposes in my station but the one advantage to ROCKY is it keeps the serial connection free to use with the N3FJP logging program during a contest. The NaP3 software allows many good things to happen such as frequency display on the computer screen, Clicking the mouse to jump to the frequency of a displayed signal, Copy RTTY, PSK or CW to a box on the screen, Program 16 F keys to control or send messages to the KX3, turn on the SUB receiver and let you listen to the SUB receiver on your computer sound card. Both these programs are free and they can both be on the computer but can not run at the same time. The only caution I have with either program is the sound card must support stereo and the 16 bit, 48 khz 2 channel option must be selected for that sound card in the operating system.

73 and good luck. I have overcome several problems the hard way so if you need help I will share what I know or tell you I have never tried that!!!
