[Elecraft] Elecraft compatible WX station

Hey, Paul - if you're looking for a remote weather station that can be solar
powered and use strictly APRS; check out the Argent Data ADS-WS1
(www.argentdata.com)

I've developed 2 stations using these (KC7RAS-8 and N7QNM-10). KC7RAS-8 is
on top of the Columbia Center in Downtown Seattle and has "shore power",
N7QNM-10 is completely self-contained. They both transmit weather data
over APRS (2M packet on 144.39), that's viewable using www.aprs.fi or
anyone's APRS client.

It looks like maybe KC7RAS-8's anemometer is down, that's a pretty harsh
environment (76 stories up over downtown Seattle) and it's blown away is
66MPH+ gusts a couple of times. My station, N7QNM-10 is suffering from a
degraded solar panel or messed up charge controller; so the readings from it
may be a few days old as well (N7QNM-10 has been operational for close to 4
years).

Feel free to drop me a direct email if you have any other questions.

Thank you, Dave. The Weather Underground display looks like just what I
want, but I would like my remote station weather to transmit over the net
without a computer hooked up--thus perhaps the Weatherbridge device...I
wonder if folks have used this successfully.
