Yeah!  

That's actually what "got" me - I saw the USB connector and asked "Oh, is
the SVGA INCLUDED in the PX3?" and was told "Yes".   

So, to clarify - "out of the box standard", the PX3 has a USB input, but
does NOT have an SVGA interface.   Is that correct?

Perhaps the confusion is based on the fact that the USB connector, which is
part of the SVGA option in the P3, is standard in the PX3.
