[Elecraft] P3 SVGA USB Hub usage?

I seem to remember it is not recommended to attempt to use a usb hub in 
the P3's SVGA USB port, can't find it now that I am looking for it. :-/

my question:
would this hub with on/off power switches for each usb port work?

it says:
"Built-in Power On/Off switches and LED power On/Off indicators for each 
port for better performance and power management."

sure would save wear and tare on the P3's usb port when plugging in and 
out a memory stick and then back to the keyboard.
