I’m an organist. Years ago I played an instrument with a substantial separation from the pipes to the console in a very reverberant space — so much so that you had to just “play the notes” and hope for the best. If you tried to listen to the delayed sounds of the pipes and play at the same time, you’re head would explode.
My head is exploding just thinking about it :)
