Just got my K3 serial 111 back from the mother ship. Sent it in because I could not get the tx power to calibrate and despite all efforts to solve the problem in Texas, it had to go back to Aptos.
Not only did WE6R do the repair...he also upgraded the radio to current factory specifications and replaced any concentric knobs that had started to crack in the years I owned the rig.
This is first class service!!!!
I fear any other manufacturer would have done the repair but unless specifically requested, not done the upgrades.
BRAVO to Elecraft's leadership and entire team.
You folks set the standard for Customer Service!!!! Thats why I own 2 K3s and the KPA500.
Elecraft, and DX IS!!!!
