If it works for you, then I would purchase it..  Not a bad deal for All the
work Tom has invested.. As for the virtual ports issue, I think Tom will get
a fix in place sooner than later..

As I only use software for direct rig control - the virtual port problem
will not affect me.

I do not DX or contest and have no use for LOTW - it is all about rig
control for me.

When you get right down to it - I would be quite happy with a direct entry
keypad that I could drag around the desk.

However, I am willing to look at all options - and chasing a mouse is one of
the options.
