I'd like to expand on this a bit.

We've been doing "show specials" at trade shows for many years, Dayton included. These small discounts are intended to create some excitement among attendees, hopefully resulting in more people stopping by to kick the tires on new and existing products. Also, to be frank, these sales incentives help us cover the very high costs of attending shows. We ship hundreds of pounds of Elecraft products to Dayton in order to satisfy on-site demand, and we always hope we don't have to send a lot of it back -- at equally high shipping rates.
