I've used the Heil Pro Set (older version) with HC4 in both for many years,
although not through an SO2R box.  I use the Heil AD-1K adapter and wired my
K2 for Kenwood input so I can remove the headset from my K3 and use it with
the K2 in portable SOTA operations.  This mike works well with both rigs for
contesting since the K2 doesn't have have internal audio equalization like
the K3.
