[Elecraft] K3, AM Bandwidth

I would love to use my K3 on AM WIDER than 6 KHz (+/- 3 KHz).
 
If I were to buy a wider filter,  Maybe 8 or 9 KHz and install it
will the K3 Firmware accept it ?
