You must mean KAT500, and I don't think so.  At least I wouldn't try it. 
  I think it will handle anything the KPA500 will make [~700W], after 
all, this *is* Elecraft, and that's what they do, but 1,500W is over 
twice that much and seems to be pushing it more than a little.
