[Elecraft] A KX3 Curiosity Question about ACC2 and RXIQ

I would suspect the ACC and RXIQ jacks are much less used than the larger
KEY and PHONES jacks.
Speaking of jacks, I'd like to repeat publicly a request I've made through
Elecraft channels:
That the CW KEY1 and CW KEY2 menus have an option for "NONE".
That way, a mono 3.5mm plug could be used to connect to an external key or
keyer, by setting the Ring to NONE.

Yes, I thought that might be a reason but you can still plug in the wrong
plug.

plug the wrong thing into the wrong place. This makes it less likely that
you will plug an ACC1 cable into the ACC2 jack by mistake, and less likely
that you would plug headphones into the RXIQ jack, for example.

common 3.5 mm. So, does anyone know why these are 2.5 mm rather than 3.5
mm. I understand that they are smaller but looking at the KX3 and how and
where they are located I do not see that smaller is required for the design.

no complaints but rather lots of curiosity.
