[Elecraft] The K line. Is it the wrong way round?

I too look directly at the P3 now, it has really changed my operating 
habits.  However, while you are unquestionably in the majority, not 
*all* people are right-handed.  Across the whole population, 10-12% are 
left-handed [like me], slightly higher among males.  Surprisingly, the 
percentage among hams is quite a bit higher [~20%].  Most hams are male, 
but that doesn't fully account for the higher percentage.

If Elecraft were to take your suggestion and configure the enclosures to 
keep the right-handers happy, it would exclude us in the minority, but 
then we're *way* more adaptable than our right-handed brethren and 
sistren. :-))  A significant number of south-paws paddle north ... 
almost no north-paws paddle south [I paddle north and Vibroplex south].

My station is inherently sort of right-ish, it's on a built-in desk, and 
there's not a lot I can do to change that, but I can have the Pigknob on 
the left.  Don't know how it would engineer for Elecraft but your 
suggestion of alternate mounting capability for the feet and handle 
sounds good, at least on the surface.
