[Elecraft] How to reply to specific post on the reflector?

This is a matter of long-standing contention, and is not likely to have
a universal solution soon.

I have been the admin for several ham-oriented lists for a number of
years, and have all of mine set to send the reply to the group.
Basically, I force everyone to share information with the group. Isn't
that what a mailing list is for?
The analogy is something like the kid in school who risks ridicule to
ask what he might consider a stupid question.
At the same time, there may be three or four other kids who wanted to
ask the question, but didn't want to take the risk.

Automatically sharing avoids having two or more others post a request
for the OP to post the result back to the list at large.
Also, it leaves a permanent record in the list archives so that others
can search for the same answer in the future. Well, in a perfect world...

Really, the burden is on the sender to ensure that the reply goes where
it is intended to go.
Typical list etiquette dictates that replies to items posted for sale,
or expressions of thanks, should go only to the person who posted the
item or who provided assistance.

It doesn't take long to get a feel for the way that any given list operates.

I hope the list moderator will keep it just the way it is. Too many impolitic e-mails intended for a single individual have received bulk distribution via reflectors set up so that "Reply" sends it to the group.
