I figured once they started outsourcing to China with their cheaper QRP
radios that Eagle followed with the low price point. Usually once
outsourcing starts there is no turning back only an increase to further cut
production costs.

Boy, were you mislead!

Someone confused the Eagle with the little QRP radios Ten Tec sells.

A quick check of the website will show the Eagle is made in the USA.
