Take a look at batteries intended for the RC crowd.  Excellent prices 
and chargers available as well. LiIon and LiFePo4 available in many cell 
combinations and sizes. One place to look is www.hobbyking.com.  No 
connection to them, just a good place to by stuff if you can wait for 
shipping.  They do have many batteries in the US warehouse though.
