[Elecraft] Help with a Macro from the K3 to turn on the KAP500

Don, 
Don't quite follow here... Are you agreeing or not?
My understanding without actually looking up the acc cable is that only band data, and standby operate status is exchanged. Is this not the case?
At one point I called elecraft about this specifically and they told me you need the dedicated serial port for the kpa to control it.
