Hi Bob,

The KXAT3 and KXAT100 have approximately the same component values in their L-networks, and about the same tuning algorithm. But given the component tolerances (5% on capacitors and 8% on inductors) there will always be some matches that are better on one tuner than the other. Stray inductance and capacitance are also different between the two. The result is that matches using finite L and C values will always be an approximation.

That said, anything better than 2:1 will mean insignificant loss of power, so both of your tuners are doing the job.
