[Elecraft] Keyer weighting

I appreciate all of you who weighed in on loving clean CW. I do too!

If he/she is having fun I'm having fun. It doesn't matter if it's a kid
learning a musical instrument, someone learning a language... or learning
Morse.

I am pleased to have developed the skill to copy a bad fist, just as I am
happy when I can understand someone speaking in a very heavy accent. It's a
pleasure to me to be able to communicate. It's a pleasure to play a tiny
part in helping the other operator develop his/her skills.

To me, that's what the Ham radio fraternity is all about.

In spite of many, many thousands of hours working CW both as a Ham and
commercially, I cannot identify another station by a single dit or even a
few words if he/she is using a keyer. That's my failing. I'm very impressed!

I do love listening to great hand-sent CW, just as I prefer great music by
instruments played by humans instead of listening to perfect,
computer-generated music.

But I understand that anything less than machine-perfect Morse is irritating
to some. I was only pointing out that, in contrast, I enjoy hand sent Morse,
just as I enjoy listening to a live musician, even if the rendition is not
"perfect".
