[Elecraft] KPA500 won't key on 6 meters

 Hi Brian,
Check the K3 config menu KRC2. Tap the 1 key (I think) and see if the configuration is BAND6 or BAND10. There is some sort of band coding anomaly having to do with the KRC2 which defaults to the K3 putting out the band code for 10m when  you are actually on 6m. That may have some effect that you are seeing if the KAT is seeing the 10m code and opening the keying line or something. Set it to BAND6 to get the correct band code for 6m.

Well, it worked for little awhile then stopped.  If I go direct from the K3 to the KPA500 without running the control cable through the KAT500, it works.  I restored the last working configuration file to the KAT500, but that made no difference.

I have not locked out 6M in the band map menu.  Every band keys properly with the control lines running through the KAT500 and then to the KPA500, except 6 meters.

Ideas???
