[Elecraft] why mix rf connector types within the product line?

Tim,

All Elecraft QRP level gear uses BNC connectors.  The 100 watt class 
amplifiers and tuners use UHF connectors.
Yes, the QRP community has adopted BNC connectors as "standard". 
Elecraft adheres to that.
