[Elecraft] K3 / KX3 Key Jack

Joel,

Both the K3 and KX3 have internal keyers so a stereo connection is required in order to get the three required connections: ground, paddle dot, and paddle dash.  My experience is with the KX3 only but I think the K3 works the same way.  The KX3 manual states that the sense of whether the tip contact is for dot or dash is menu programmable.  The third menu selection is for Hand keys and either tip or ring will work for the hand key connection.
