[Elecraft] WANTED - Buddipole Low Voltage Alarm

Keith,

Your KX3 has a built in low voltage warning -- you can set it to 11.5 volts
or so and simply turn the rig off once you see the warning.  At that
voltage you will still have about 10% battery capacity left (assuming you
are talking about a LiFePO4 battery.

Maybe we can convince Wayne to put in a Shut Off voltage in addition to the
warning voltage.  That could be set to 10.0 volts then.

The Buddipole low-voltage cutout is in hard to beat -- small package,
inexpensive price, sad they can't keep making them.  Probably didn't sell
many though.

PS: PowerEx sells one for about $90 -- much higher current rating, but it
could be adjusted to cut out where you want.  Its a LVD-35.

PPS:  Some of the alarm companies sell them to prevent damage to the Alarm
Panel SLA battery.  Typical cutout is 10 volts which is fine for a LiFePO4.
 An ELK-065 comes to mind.  About $20.  Not packaged nicely.  Just another
alternative.
