[Elecraft] DATA A Reverse? AFSK A Reverse etc?

Can someone explain exactly what the " Reverse" functions is?
I understand how it is used for CW but for all the data modes?
DATA A, PSK D, AFSK A, and FSK D can all be set as reverse.
