I will have a look at that I do run N1MM and WriteLOG for different contests
thanks. I also don't care for the computer sound cards, the FTDX-5000 came
with a keypad a switch for them usually an add-on in there line.

With CQ WW SSB approaching, perhaps you and others may be interested in
using N1MM to control the K3DVR.  Iain N6ML has written instructions for
this on this page:

This is extremely useful in contests and allows you to use the normal F-keys
to send voice messages, just like on CW.  I imagine with a little work that
Iain's approach could be adapted other loggers besides N1MM.  This
eliminates the need to press the K3 buttons and I prefer the simplicity of
using the K3DVR versus hassling with computer soundcards.
