[Elecraft] [K3] Subreceiver IF output

I am using the K3 IF output extensively for I/Q downconversion and
panadapter display. The IF Out connector makes this very easy.
But it would think it would be very useful to have a separate I/Q stream
from the subreceiver (e.g. for monitoring a separate band, or a different
segment of the same band). I'm wondering if a mod would be possible to
allow access to the 2nd receiver IF, and if anyone has done this.

Thomas,
I modified my K3 to bring out the sub-Rx IF for eme dual-polarity
diversity reception. The description how I did it is at:

scroll down thru other topics of my project till you find:
Connecting K3 Sub-Receiver IF to LP-Pan:
I tapped the IF near jumper W-3 using a 0.001 uF disc ceramic cap and
run the IF out thru an existing hole in the sub-Rx shield. I used a
couple ferrite beads to decouple the cable common-mode field. I ran
the RG-174 over to the existing BNC hole for the internal 2m
transverter (which I do not have installed). You can run the RG-174
thru a small toroid core at the point the coax emerges from the hole
in the shield for more isolation.
I have my dual-Rx diversity system running on 2m-eme using MAP65v2.3
sw which is variant of JT65 which captures a bandspan up to 90-KHz
decoding all signals inside the span. I am presenting a paper at
MUD-2012 in San Jose on Oct. 19 on the topic.
